Short Description:

Dye-sublimation fabric is a polyester-based textile engineered for “dye-infusion” printing. In this process, solid sublimation inks are first printed in mirror image on special transfer paper; the paper is then placed face-down on the fabric and subjected to 190-200 °C heat and medium pressure for 30-40 seconds. Under this thermal shock the dye by-passes the liquid phase and turns instantly into gas; the polyester fibers swell, allowing the gaseous pigments to penetrate the yarn core.
